Restaurant Duty Manager
PURPOSE
- To maintain an exceptional standard of hospitality, embracing the values of Manaakitanga, and meeting all legal obligations around the conditions of our on-license.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Table Planning and Reservations.
- Greeting, seating and final contact with guests.
- Direct floor and bar crew as needed, working alongside them serving guests as required.
- Liaise with Kitchen & Front of House team members.
- Lead the team on each shift, providing service in line with company expectations.
- Ensure that guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
- Prepare final checks, deal with payment and cash handling.
- Check customers’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
- Uphold host responsibility protocols, and the conditions of our On-License.
- Stock service areas with supplies as needed.
- Manage any complaints, dealing with them appropriately.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 1 + years restaurant experience waiting tables and bar service.
- Duty Managers Certificate (Or no impediment to immediately gaining one)
