We want three carpenters with at least three years’ experience to join our team to work in Hamilton and Tauranga.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studying design plans and client specifications to ensure correct materials, products and equipment are prepared for site including correct dimensions and quantities required for installations
- Pickup and delivery of plant, equipment, and materials as necessary
- Using hand and power tools effectively and safely
- Preparing materials and work areas compliant with regulatory safety zones, restricted areas, and designated workspaces.
- Cut, assemble and lay materials to adhere to profile plans
- Accurate recording of installations for GIS surveying services
- Cutting, removing and reinstatement of concrete surfaces, pavers, and other hard surfaces
- Constructs, installs and repairs fixtures of wood, plywood and other materials
- Installation of stabilizing resources to prevent collapse while working
- Assessing plans and installing materials such as timber formwork, concrete and pavers
- Reinstatement of surfacing, walls, and fencing to required standards
- Adhering to company and regulatory health and safety processes
- Assisting with civil construction and utility installations
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a carpenter
- Proficient in using various tools including power and hand tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various physical positions, and withstand demanding physical labour
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges on a job site
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other tradespeople
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently
- Be willing to submit background/drug and alcohol checks
