Chef Wanted – Busy Chinese Restaurant!!!
We are a popular and busy Chinese restaurant operating on the North Shore of Auckland, seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team and deliver fantastic Chinese cuisine to our valued customers.
The role will include, but not limited to:

Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of authentic Chinese dishes, including stir-fry, roasted, steamed, and braised specialties.

Plan, develop, and adapt menus and daily specials according to seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation.

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth operation in a fast-paced environment.

Check freshness and quality of ingredients and manage stock levels to minimize wastage.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.

Train and guide junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, safe equipment use, and kitchen procedures.

Manage kitchen equipment, ensuring proper use, cleaning, and reporting of maintenance needs.

Work closely with restaurant management to maintain efficient food cost control and portion sizes.

Assist in receiving and checking deliveries to ensure quality and quantity of supplies.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all workplace safety requirements.

Other duties may be reasonably require in order to provide excellent food and customers services
Job pre-requisites:

At least 2 years working experience

Relevant cookery qualification or certificate is preferable but not a must

Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.

Reliable, friendly and professional manner

Have a strong focus on food hygiene and cleanliness.

- Job Salary : $30.00 - $32.00
- Working hours: 30 - 40 hours per week
