Dry Wall Plasterer

Job Details:

• Job Salary : $30.00 - 32.00

• Full time:  30 - 50 hours per week

• Working place: Canterbury Region 

The role will include, but not limited to:

• Measures, cuts, and installs plasterboard/drywall sheets to walls and ceilings.

• Prepares surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying sealants or bonding agents.

• Applies joint tape and compound to seams and corners of plasterboard.

• Builds up multiple layers of plaster or compound to create a smooth, even finish.

• Sands surface to achieve a uniform texture ready for painting or decorating.

• Repairs cracks, dents, and holes in existing walls or ceilings.

• Installs corner beads, trims, and control joints as required.

• Applies the texture coatings if specified in the project.

• Ensures all work meets building codes, fire-rating, acoustic, and safety requirements.

• Reads and interprets construction drawings and job specifications.

• Operates and maintains tools such as trowels, sanders, stilts, and spray equipment.

• Works with other trades to ensure proper sequencing of tasks on site.

Job pre-requisites: 

• At least 2 years’ relevant working experiences with verified evidence (experiences gained in the same industry could be considered as meeting the experience requirements）

• Relevant qualifications are preferable but not a must

• Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.

• physically capable of performing heavy work be able to work overtime 

• excellent work ethics and great time management passion for the industry.

• The successful candidate must not have any criminal convictions
