We, Elite Tennis Education Limited, are looking to employ energetic and passionate Tennis Coaches to provide tennis lessons to students of varying ages and skillsets in Auckland, New Zealand.

  • Job location/region: Auckland, New Zealand

  • Number of positions for this job: 2 Tennis Coaches

  • Employment type: Permanent

  • Days required: Mon-Saturday or required dates

  • Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximum 40 hours of work per week

  • Hourly rate: $30 - $40.00 depends on the coach experiences and level

Job description: 

  • Assisting, coaching, training and instructing students in developing and improving various tennis skills, hot shot, squad training

  • Assessing students' tennis skills to determine areas in need of improvement.

  • Coordinating and conducting individual and group tennis lessons for adults and juniors

  • Developing suitable training programmes/school holiday programmes for students based on their age, objectives, and individual skillsets.

  • Developing innovative ways to assist beginner or younger students in learning and remembering the rules of the game.

  • Identifying the learning styles that work best for each student and adapting all coaching methods accordingly.

  • Providing a secure and productive learning environment for students.

  • Scheduling meetings with students' parents or guardians to discuss their progress.

  • Attending students' tennis matches, competitions, and tournaments as required.

Job pre-requisites: 

  • A passion for tennis

  • Diploma in Sport related or above qualification or 2 years proven experience working as a Tennis Coach or Instructor is required

  • International Tennis Federation (ITF) level 1 certificate, or USPTR certificate,  or equivalent international tennis coach qualification is preferred

  • Sound knowledge of various coaching techniques.

  • Ability to coach all skill levels, Junior to Adultsf

  • Able to work unsupervised

  • Ability to motivate students

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
