We are looking for skilled and passionated Chefs to join our team in Tauranga, New
Zealand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation,
excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
environment.

Main Tasks:

  • Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage food supply orders.
  • Oversee the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen staff to enhance food
    preparation processes.
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff as required.
  • Manage food preservation, including freezing and storage techniques.

What's on offer:
- Hourly rate at $24- $26 (Gross).
- The role is based on an assured 30-40 hours a week.
- The work is carried out in Tauranga, New Zealand.


Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen, or a relevant
qualification of NZQF Diploma in cookery, 
- Availability to work weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
- Applicant must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
