Oceanix Yacht Care are looking for casual boat detailers/polishers. 

Oceanix offers a premium boat care service, providing intensive detailing and valet services for yachts, powerboats, trailer boats, and high-end vehicles. Our work is fully mobile, and we operate across Tauranga Bridge Marina, Sulphur Point Marina, Tauranga Drystack, and on-site at various client locations. If you enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and taking pride in perfect results, this could be the job for you.

This Role is Ideal for:
  • Marine or superyacht crew between seasons, or just looking for a couple of weeks' work between offshore jobs, or whilst you are home for the holidays.
  • STCW holders wanting hands-on detailing experience.
About the Role: 
  • Washing and detailing boats
  • Machine polishing, buffing, cut & polish
  • Waxing and applying surface protection
  • Stainless steel, teak, and interior cleaning
  • Oxidisation removal and engine rooms
  • Window treatments
  • Supporting the Oceanix team with mobile valet services
Hours vary depending on workload and weather. Work is mainly Mon–Fri, with flexibility to pick up extra hours.

We’re Looking For: 
  • Experience in boat washing, polishing or detailing 
  • Someone physically capable, reliable and comfortable using tools
  • A good eye for detail and pride in finishing work to a high standard
  • Flexibility to work casual hours
  • NZ Citizen/Resident or valid Work Visa
  • Driver’s licence preferred
  • Based in Tauranga with reliable transport to get to work
