We are a well-established national manufacturer specialising in the fabrication and installation of high-quality window and door systems. We are now hiring Metal Fabricators to join our team.

Number of vacancies: 5
Hours per week: at least 30 hours per week
Hourly rate: 27-35/hour depending on your experience

 

Job description:

  • Read fabrication drawing and fabricate structure accordingly    
  • Perform quality checks to ensure that the product meets all standards and requirements.
  • Select, clean and prepare aluminium for fabrication
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
  • Ensuring components are locating, positioning and securing on work benches
  • Punching and Drilling mounting holes in parts and assembled products
  • Preparing, cutting and assembly of aluminium windows and doors
  • Deburring and finishing items using files, grinding wheels and emery paper
  • Cutting and fixing liners
  • Fixing hardware and glazing
  • Comply with applicable company procedures and policies
  • Fabrication of windows and doors using power tools including plunger routers, crimpers etc.
  • Assisting with the delivery and installation of frames and glass as required
  • Other duties as required by the employer from time to time

 

Job pre-requisites:

  • A relevant qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a hard-working attitude.
  • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working as part of a team.
