Framework Carpenters Wanted

This is an excellent opportunity to work for an experienced and well-established Auckland based construction company.

We are looking for 8 full-time (minimum 30 hours to maximum 60 hours per week, working from Monday to Saturday) Framework Carpenters to join our team on a Permanent basis. The location of work will be within the Auckland Region.

You will need to have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field/industry or have a relevant level 4 or equivalent qualifications/certificates,when being considered.

Formwork Carpenters are required to:

·       Read and understand specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans

·       Prepare project work procedure and determine dimensions and materials required

·       Plan the order and selection of timbers and other materials, and prepare layouts

·       Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand or power tools

·       Inspect and assess existing frameworks for damages or wear

·       Provide recommendations for repairs upgrades or replacements, ensuring proper integration of modern insulation methods with structures while adhering to preservation guidelines

·       Construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings

·       Select timbers and measure, cut, prepare and assemble timbers to make doors and window frames

·       Remove and repair existing fittings, conduct renovation and maintenance service for the wood structures

·       To able to work with steel and metal materials when required

We offer a competitive salary of $28.00/hour and it could be negotiated to $34.00 per hour depending on your personal attributes and experiences.
