The Role
The Department requires two experienced Strategic Communication Managers to design and deliver end-to-end internal communication. The role involves developing evidence-based communication plans, creating multi-channel content, and engaging diverse stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of change initiatives. Candidates must demonstrate strong writing, planning, and problem-solving skills, and hold a TSPV security clearance.

The Candidate
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Plan, write and develop communications strategies to support raising awareness and achieving communications objectives.
- Proactively provide specialist advice to stakeholders on the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a range of internal communication products and activities.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate effectively and influence stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver desired business outcomes.
- Manage the accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share your expertise with others.
- Develop content for a variety of communication channels such as social media, electronic direct mail (eDM), web content and publications.
- Prepare reports and briefings for senior government officials.
- Conduct market research and analyse data to apply evidence based decision making to branch activities.
Essential:
- Conduct stakeholder engagement and analysis, and build stakeholder relationships.
- Design, implement and support best practice business communications strategies to support the successful delivery of initiatives and achieve communications objectives.
- As part of the communications strategy, develop, track and update communications activities according to schedule. Monitoring and evaluation activities must be built in to measure effectiveness of communications activities.
- Utilise expert writing skills for content creation.
- Develop communication products for a range of formats and channels.
- Facilitate the resolution of any issues or challenges that arise.

- Experience in planning, managing and evaluating internal and external communication initiatives.
- Experience in writing and implementing communication strategies.
- Experience in developing content and communications products for a range of communication channels.
- Expert written and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, advertising or public relations are preferable, but not essential
