Beaver Construction is a leading construction company based in Auckland, dedicated to excellence, innovation, and delivering high-quality building solutions. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and client-focused Key Account Manager to strengthen client relationships, oversee major accounts, and support our long-term business success.

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with our major clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and supporting the smooth delivery of construction projects. You will serve as the main point of contact for key clients, understand their needs, anticipate challenges, and work closely with internal teams to deliver superior project outcomes. This is a permanent full-time position; you are required to work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday within normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Account Management

  • ·      Manage a portfolio of key clients across commercial, residential, and development projects.
  • ·      Build strong, long-lasting client relationships based on trust, transparency, and proactive communication.
  • ·      Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, project updates, contract matters, and service issues.
  • ·      Conduct regular account reviews, site visits, and client meetings to understand project progress and expectations.

Project Coordination & Delivery Support

  • ·      Collaborate with project managers, site teams, QS teams, and senior management to ensure client requirements are met.
  • ·      Monitor project milestones, identify potential risks or delays, and communicate solutions promptly.
  • ·      Ensure all client specifications, changes, and variations are accurately captured and coordinated internally.
  • ·      Support seamless handover of completed projects and manage post-completion feedback.

Business Growth & Opportunity Development

  • ·      Identify opportunities for additional services, repeat projects, and long-term partnerships.
  • ·      Work with the business development team to contribute to tenders, proposals, and capability presentations.
  • ·      Help expand Beaver Construction’s presence within the Auckland market through networking and relationship-building.
  • ·      Provide insights on client needs, market trends, and competitor activity to guide company strategy.

 Reporting & Administrative Duties

  • ·      Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project updates, issues, and opportunities in CRM systems.
  • ·      Prepare account performance reports and participate in internal review meetings.
  • ·      Ensure contract terms and service agreements are adhered to throughout project lifecycle.

 Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • ·      At least a Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or other relevant field OR
  • ·      At least five years of proven experience in account management, client relations, or project coordination
  • ·      Strong understanding of construction processes, project stages, and typical client requirements.
  • ·      Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • ·      Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • ·      Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
  • ·      High level of professionalism and client service orientation.
