We are currently seeking 4 full-time permanent Painters to join our team in Auckland.

Requirements and responsibilities for this role are as follows:

Requirements

Ø  Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience

Ø  Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety standards

Ø  Physically fit

Ø  Able to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Ø  Able to work well independently or as part of a team environment

Ø  Available to work on weekends and after hours if required

Main duties

Ø  Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming, removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces

Ø  Applying paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

Ø  Selecting appropriate paint and materials, preparing paints to required colours based on surface types, project requirements, and environmental factors.

Ø  Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering

Ø  Hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges. May repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames

Ø  Maintaining clean and organized work areas, including proper storage and disposal of painting materials.

Ø  Collaborating with manager and other team members to coordinate painting schedules and prioritize tasks.

Ø  Adhering to project specifications, blueprints, and quality standards to meet client expectations.
