Our client is a highly regarded New Zealand food manufacturer with a reputation for producing quality products and maintaining exceptional standards across food safety, compliance and operations. As they continue to evolve, they are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance leader to play a key role in driving quality performance across their site.

The Opportunity
 
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play a key part in maintaining food safety and quality standards, developing your team, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to support operational excellence.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day quality assurance activities across the site
  • Supervise, coach and develop a team of Quality Officers
  • Manage product testing, verification, investigations and product release
  • Coordinate audits, quality reporting and corrective actions
  • Champion food safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives

About You
 
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' working experience within the New Zealand food processing industry
  • Proven team leadership experience with the ability to develop and support others
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, quality and compliance systems
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred:
  • Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management or a related discipline
