We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at our retail outlet located within a gas station. The successful candidate will be a genuine person with a strong customer focus, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, willing to learn new skills, and able to work as part of a team while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with a friendly, professional and first-class service.
  • Assist customers with their purchases and understand their requirements.
  • Provide accurate information about available products, food items, promotions and combo offers.
  • Introduce and demonstrate food and other products available at the service station retail outlet.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, EFTPOS and other customer payments.
  • Process sales transactions, prepare sales invoices and assist with basic finance and sales documentation.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, displaying and replenishing stock.
  • Ensure shelves, displays and retail areas are well stocked, organised and presented.
  • Assist with managing customer orders and coordinating deliveries where required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the retail area, counters, food preparation areas and other work areas.
  • Follow workplace health, safety and food hygiene requirements.
  • Assist the Retail Manager with day-to-day operations of the service station retail outlet.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily operational and customer service goals.
  • Undertake general cleaning, maintenance and other duties as required.

The successful applicant must hold excellent customer service skills.
Training will be provided to the right candidate.
