Position Title: Fruit Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 3
Location: Bay of Plenty Region
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 - 40 hours per week
Key Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years' relevant experience OR Level 4 qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily orchard and fruit production activities.
- Allocate work duties and monitor the performance of orchard workers and seasonal staff.
- Monitor crop growth, fruit quality, irrigation systems, and orchard conditions.
- Identify and report pest, disease, and crop health issues.
- Train and guide staff on orchard procedures, quality standards, and safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Oversee the safe operation and maintenance of orchard machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain production records, staff attendance records, and orchard activity logs.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure fruit meets company and market standards.
- Management with planning, productivity monitoring, and reporting orchard progress.
Position Title: Horticulture Leading Hand

Pay Rate: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 - 50 hours per week
Key Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years' relevant experience OR Level 4 qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Field Supervisors to ensure daily orchard operations are completed safely and efficiently.
- Allocate Supervisors to specific tasks and organise work teams according to daily production requirements.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, attendance, and work quality across orchard sites.
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing Supervisors on company procedures and work requirements.
- Ensure kiwifruit is handled carefully to minimise bruising, damage, and product loss.
- Monitor fruit quality and report any quality concerns to management.
- Ensure Supervisors and their teams achieve required productivity and quality targets.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate daily work instructions to Supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and industry standards.
- Identify and report workplace hazards, incidents, and equipment issues.
- Organise daily work schedules and labour requirements before staff commence work.
- Maintain accurate records of worker numbers, attendance, hours worked, production outputs, and completed tasks.
- Liaise with management regarding daily progress, staffing requirements, and operational issues.
- Promote a professional, respectful, and productive working environment.
- Assist in achieving daily and seasonal production targets through effective site coordination and leadership.
