H DHILLON LIMITED seeks a Site Manager and Orchard Manager to oversee orchard operations across Bay of Plenty sites. The role involves coordinating staff, monitoring productivity, maintaining health and safety compliance, managing resources, and supporting the successful delivery of seasonal horticultural programmes.

Position Title: Site Manager
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $30 - $38 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 - 50 hours per week

 

Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience OR Level 4 Qualification.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across assigned orchard sites.
  • Coordinate orchard staff, labour teams, and daily work schedules.
  • Monitor productivity, work quality, and overall site performance.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections and address operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain site records, activity logs, and performance reports.
  • Support planning and delivery of seasonal orchard programmes.
  • Oversee the safe use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Liaise with management regarding site progress, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor completion of orchard activities including pruning, thinning, training, harvesting, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinate workforce supervision, training, and performance monitoring.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Conduct orchard inspections and address operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain orchard records, activity logs, production reports, and crop management records.
  • Monitor crop health and identify pest, disease, irrigation, or nutrition-related issues.
  • Oversee the safe use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and orchard equipment.
  • Liaise with management regarding orchard progress, staffing requirements, production targets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate workforce supervision, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Make day-to-day operational decisions to ensure efficient orchard management and achievement of business objectives.
