Angel Hair Zone is hiring 2 x Nail and Beauty Technicians

Hang Thi Ngoc Truong trading as Angel Hair Zone is a hairdressing and beauty business in the heart of Mangere Bridge, Auckland. We provide personalised hair and beauty services to our local community. Following the recent expansion of our services, we are looking for two Nail and Beauty Technicians to join our team.

These are full-time, permanent positions with guaranteed minimum hours of 30 per week. Additional hours may be available depending on business needs.

Workdays will be rostered from Monday to Sunday, with working hours between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Weekend work and work on public holidays may be required depending on customer demand.

The pay rate is NZD $28 to $30 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, eyelash treatments and basic waxing with care and attention to detail.
  • Discussing clients’ preferences and providing treatments that meet their needs and our salon standards.
  • Cleaning and sanitising tools, equipment and work areas, and following salon hygiene and health and safety procedures.
  • Organising appointments and keeping client and treatment records accurate and up to date.
  • Welcoming clients, answering enquiries and assisting with reception duties when needed.
  • Recommending suitable salon services and products and providing advice on nail and beauty care.
  • Working closely with other team members to keep daily salon operations running smoothly and meet agreed service targets.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • At least two years of relevant work experience as a Nail Technician, Beauty Therapist or in a similar role.
  • A relevant qualification in nail technology, beauty therapy or a related field would be an advantage, but is not required.
  • Sound knowledge of nail and beauty treatments, hygiene practices and customer care.
  • Good practical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality service.
  • A reliable and punctual approach, a friendly manner and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Availability to work rostered hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
