RCD ELECTRICAL SERVICE LIMITED is a well-established company experiencing rapid growth. To support our continued expansion, we are currently seeking junior security technicians and warmly welcome interested candidates to apply for the position.

​​Job Description

  • Inspect and test machinery, devices, instruments and control systems to identify faults
  • Tune, fix, change worn or faulty components and wiring, and carry out maintenance on machinery, equipment and instruments
  • Reassemble equipment, run trial operations and perform fine adjustments
  • Guide users on proper operation methods to avoid equipment failures
  • Decode received communications into readable plain text, and compose and type messages to be sent out
  • Keep track of radio communications, as well as send and receive voice transmissions
  • Fit electronic instruments and control systems
  • Utilise understanding of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic theories to commission and maintain control systems
  • Install, service and repair electronic devices and systems including audiovisual playback gear, domestic entertainment systems, computers and electronic security setups
  • Complete other reasonable work duties allocated by the employer

More details about the position

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time Permanent
  • Pay rate: 25.00- 35.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: Monday to Saturday (rosters may apply).
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification), or a bachelor degree in any discipline is required.
