Wage: $30.00-$35.00 hourly rate

Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, Maximum 60 hours per week, shifted by

                           roster from Monday to Sunday

 

We are looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our dessert shop. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a passion for customer service, team development, and delivering exceptional store performance. You will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining high service standards, and driving sales growth. 

 

Requirements:

  • A qualification equivalent to a NZQF Diploma qualification in business or higher;

  • Or have at least 2 years of relating work experience in New Zealand.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to drive sales performance and meet revenue targets through effective merchandising and promotion techniques.

  • Inventory management and stock control experience to ensure optimal product availability and minimise losses.

  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to handle customer complaints and after-sales issues professionally.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing the daily operation of the business

  • Participating the menu change through your first hand experience. 

  • In charge of staff hiring and firing, including job interview, training, and evaluating of staff performance. 

  • Arranging staff roster and ensuring the shop operate smoothly

  • Managing the reasonable stock level, facilitating the first-in-first-out system, and maintain financial transactions

  • Analysing competitor’s information, perform sales promotions and the terms of discount.

  • Ensuring that all staff follows relevant hygiene and safety regulations, enforcing general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.

  • Managing  wastage level to keep cost down 

  • Greeting and talking with customers to assess their satisfaction in our food and services

  • Handling customer complaints.  

  • Arranging the particular requirements for customers

  • Any other duties may be required by the business
