We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Store Manager to join our gas station and be part of our fun, fast-paced team. This is a full-time position requiring 30 to 35 hours per week, with weekly pay. Hours are rostered each week and will include weekend shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellence service.
  • Complete store administration and ensure complience with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Report on buying trends, customer needs, profit etc.
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
  • Undertaking budgeting and maintain the GP.
  • Controlling selection, training and supervising of staff.
  • Planning and preparing work scedule and assigning staff to specific duties.
  • Maintatin food temprature records including food display equipment and fridges as per guidelines.
  • Assess training needs and send staff for trainning.
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers(Complaints, grievances etc.)
  • Customer service duties including sales,dealing with customers inquiries.
  • Planning and preparing work rosters and assignning work to staff.
  • Assisting with HR duties and with resolving staff issues.
  • Trainning staff and providing staff with sales procedures and informations.
  • Assisting in stock take and ensuring correct reciept of stock and good delivered.
  • Ensuring correct pricing and display and that safety and security procedures are followed.
  • Ensuring fuel pricing are compatitive with local competitors.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a petrol/gas station, convenience store, retail business, or a similar industry, OR

  • An equivalent qualification to a New Zealand Level 5 qualification in Business, Management, Retail Management, or a related field, or higher.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience in financial planning, staff management/recruitment, retail operations, inventory management, or related areas is advantageous but not essential.

  • Must be flexible and available to work morning, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays, when required, including to cover staff absences and meet operational requirements.

  • Valid driver full licence cumpolsary.
