Define and execute testing strategies across complex products, with expertise in manual, automated and API testing within Agile teams
We have a 12-month contract opportunity available for an Intermediate – Senior Software Tester to join our Christchurch-based clients in January 2027. This is a project-based contract working in a global testing team on complex technology solutions.  

This is a Christchurch based opportunity, we will not be considering remote or FIFO candidates for this position.

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Test Team Manager, you'll work as part of a collaborate Agile team and take ownership of designing and executing effective testing approaches across a complex product environment. You'll work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements, define test methodologies and test plans and carry out manual, automated and API testing. You'll identify risks, uncover defects, and help drive quality throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to successful delivery across multiple teams and interconnected systems.

SKILL SET:
  • Proven commercial experience in software testing environments.
  • Strong capabilities across manual, automation and API testing.
  • Experienced working within Agile delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with modern testing frameworks, automation tool, and CI/CD environments.
  • Skilled in testing complex software products and/or platforms.
  • *Hands-on experience working with integrated hardware and software systems is highly desirable*
