Vs Group of Enterprises Limited is looking for a Store Manager for a new Store Opening in Kaikorai Valley Dunedin   - As Store Manager you'll oversee daily operations ensuring exceptional customer service ,high quality products , and efficent team management . Your  Leadership will be crucial in maintaing a welcoming environment and upholding the store's reputation for excellence .
35 to 40 hours of work are guaranteed for per week 

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently manage the overall operations of the store.
  • Lead the team independently and supervise staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Manage the daily operations of the store effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage and supervise staff, including recruitment, rostering, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
  • Monitor and analyse sales and financial data.
  • Maintain excellent communication with staff, management, suppliers, and customers.
  • Manage finances, including budgeting, cash handling, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing where required.
  • Implement marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Strategically plan and support the growth of the business at a local level, with a focus on increasing regular and casual customer numbers.
  • Introduce and implement new and innovative ideas to generate revenue and improve business performance.
  • Manage store operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the company’s culture and values.
  • Provide direction and guidance to shift staff to achieve store goals and targets.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure the store meets health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
  • Order and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Make appropriate decisions regarding pricing and stock levels.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and identify and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and recorded stock levels.
  • Develop and implement policies and checks to minimise stock expiry and wastage and reduce discrepancies between physical and recorded stock levels.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a tertiary-level qualification or at least two years of relevant work experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Have strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
  • Have the ability to independently manage store operations and lead a team effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on customer service and business performance.

Hours and Remuneration

You will be offered a minimum of 35 guaranteed hours per week, with the potential to work up to 40 hours per week depending on business requirements.

The remuneration will be $35–$36 per hour, depending on your skills, qualifications, and relevant
