Electrician & Electrical Trade Assistant – Auckland

DJ SPARK Limited is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Electricians and Electrical Trade Assistants to join our growing team in Auckland.

We welcome applications from experienced electricians as well as recently registered electricians looking to develop their skills. We are committed to supporting our team through mentoring, training and opportunities to learn new electrical skills.

The role involves domestic and light commercial electrical work, with experience in the following areas highly desirable:

• Heat pump installation
• Solar installation
• Alarm systems
• CCTV
• General domestic electrical work
• Light commercial electrical work
• examining blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operation
• using electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
• repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts
• positioning and installing electrical switchboards
• connecting electrical systems to power supply.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicants will ideally have:

1. Proven experience in electrical/electrician work
2. Limited Certificate, Limited Electrical Registration, or relevant electrical experience
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Good communication and a positive attitude
5. Strong commitment to health and safety on construction sites
6. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
7. Relevant electrical qualifications or industry experience
8. Own reliable transport
9. Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including occasional weekend work when required- minimum 30hours work
