We are looking for full-time Glasshouse Maintenance Technician to join our team in Auckland. The position requires a minimum of 30 hours and maximum of 45 hours from Monday to Friday. You may require working sometime for long hours on weekends / Public holidays. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting and repairing glasshouse structures, heating, irrigation, ventilation, plumbing and associated mechanical equipment to ensure the glasshouse facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

  •        Inspect, maintain and repair glasshouse structures, frames, fittings and equipment.
  •          Replace damaged glass, plastic coverings and structural components.
  •         Maintain and repair heating pipes, pumps, valves and associated equipment.
  •         Repair and replace irrigation pumps, pipes, fittings and grippers.
  •         Repair and replace pipes, plumbing lines, fittings and connections.
  •         Maintain and repair glasshouse ventilation systems, fans and related equipment.
  •        Carry out welding, fabrication, painting and general mechanical repairs.
  •        Conduct preventative maintenance and regular inspections of glasshouse systems.
  •        Maintain glasshouse infrastructure and assist with refurbishment and improvement work.
  •        Maintain tools and maintenance equipment in safe working condition.
  •         Report machinery faults, structural damage, hazards and maintenance requirements to management.
  •        Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and replacement parts.
  •        Follow company health and safety procedures and safe work practices. 

Job Requirements

 

  •        To be successful you must have at least two years of relevant Work Experience or at least Level 4 or Higher diploma qualification in any stream
  •        Have passion for outdoor work.
  •        Punctual, reliable and honest
  •        Work well in a Team.
  •        Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  •        Alert and safety conscious.
  •        Able to cope with the physical demands of the job
  •     Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 to $35 per hour.
