We’re looking for a fit, switched-on and reliable person to join a well-established logging and sawmill operation based in Harewood

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, work hard and get ahead. The company is also open to putting the right person through an apprenticeship, giving you the chance to develop a trade and build a career within the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Operating machinery
  • Working in a busy logging/sawmill environment
  • Learning different aspects of the operation
  • Working alongside an experienced team
  • Getting hands-on and building your skills

We're not necessarily looking for someone with heaps of experience — attitude and reliability are key.

You will ideally be:

  • Fit and physically capable
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Switched on and willing to learn
  • Hands-on and not afraid of hard work
  • Comfortable with 6:00am starts
  • Looking for something long term
  • Keen to learn a trade and potentially take up an apprenticeship


Machine operating experience would be a bonus, but the right attitude is more important.

Due to the ongoing nature and training in this role, candidates must be have NZ Citizenship/Permanent residency
