We are looking for a reliable and motivated Eletrical Trade Assistant to join our team and support our qualified electricians on a range of electrical, solar and energy projects. The successful candidate will work alongside licensed electricians and assist with the preparation, installation and completion of projects across residential and commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians with residential and commercial electrical installation projects.
  • Prepare tools, equipment and materials required for daily work.
  • Load, unload and safely transport tools, electrical materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Assist with the installation of solar panels, mounting systems and associated equipment under electrician supervision.
  • Assist with EV charger, heat pump and general electrical installation work.
  • Help with cable preparation, routing, securing and installation as directed by qualified electricians.
  • Assist with switchboard upgrades, rewiring and other electrical improvement projects.
  • Assist with data, security and associated installation work.
  • Prepare and maintain work areas, ensuring sites are clean, organised and safe.
  • Handle and store tools, equipment and materials appropriately.
  • Assist with testing, preparation and completion of work as directed by licensed electricians.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and instructions on residential and commercial worksites.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful approach when working at customer premises.
  • Perform other general trade and site-support duties as required.

  • Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction
  • Physical:  Must have the ability to lift 5kg to 20 kgs frequently
  • Can work on roofs or at heights when appropriately trained and equipped
  • Available Monday to Sunday (rotating shifts)

Applicant must hold New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence or equivalant overseas driver's licence.
