Commercial Cleaner - 4 Positions

Hygiene Works Limited, trading as Perfect Dry, provides commercial cleaning, specialist cleaning and property-care services across Auckland and surrounding areas. Due to ongoing operational requirements, we are looking for 4 experienced and reliable Commercial Cleaners to join our team.

This role suits someone who is confident working independently, travelling between client sites, using commercial cleaning equipment and completing work to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial cleaning across offices, retail premises, hospitality sites, industrial facilities and other client locations.
• Perform detailed cleaning of floors, kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, workspaces and other assigned areas.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, wet and dry vacuums, carpet extraction machines, polishers and pressure-cleaning equipment where required.
• Carry out carpet cleaning, stain treatment, hard-floor cleaning, deep cleaning and periodic cleaning work.
• Prepare and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with product instructions, SDS requirements and company procedures.
• Complete quality checks before leaving each site and correct any identified issues.
• Monitor cleaning products, consumables and equipment and report shortages, faults or maintenance requirements.
• Follow client-specific instructions, access procedures and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate job records, timesheets and other operational information.
• Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and other team members.
• Assist with urgent or after-hours cleaning jobs when reasonably required.
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should have at least 2 years of practical commercial or specialist cleaning experience, or equivalent relevant experience.

Applicants should also be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in commercial, industrial, hospitality or other professional cleaning environments.
• Practical knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe chemical handling.
• Experience using commercial cleaning machinery or relevant transferable experience.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct cleaning-quality issues.
• The ability to organise work and complete assigned jobs without constant supervision.
• Good reliability, punctuality and professional conduct.
• Sufficient physical capability to carry out normal commercial-cleaning duties, including regular standing, bending, lifting equipment and repetitive tasks.
• The ability to understand work instructions, safety information and client requirements.
• A full driver's licence, as the position involves travel between multiple client sites.

Working Hours and Availability

The position involves work across different client locations, and working hours may vary according to client requirements.

Applicants should be reasonably flexible and able to work:

• Early mornings or evenings where required.
• Occasional night shifts.
• Some weekend work.
• Urgent or on-call work from time to time.

The role is not based at one permanent site, so the successful applicant must be comfortable travelling between client locations.

Who This Role Would Suit

This position would suit an experienced cleaner who is comfortable taking responsibility for their own work, using professional cleaning equipment and working across different client environments.

Applicants whose experience is mainly limited to light domestic cleaning and not have the commercial, machinery or multi-site experience may not be eligible for this position.
