We are seeking a skilled and reliable Property Maintenance Multi-Trade Worker to join our team.

This is a hands-on role involving property maintenance, renovations, landscaping, and building improvement projects across residential and commercial properties. As part of the role, you will also assist with solar panel installation projects when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality workmanship, managing assigned tasks, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a professional standard.

The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety, productivity, and delivering high-quality results for our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Carry out interior and exterior painting work, including surface preparation, priming and finishing. 
  • Perform plasterboard installation and basic plastering, including patching, repairs and surface finishing. 
  • Prepare surfaces by filling, sanding, smoothing and sealing prior to painting or plastering. . 
  • Carry out landscaping and gardening tasks, including garden maintenance, planting, pruning and weed control. 
  • Assist with the installation of solar panel mounting systems, brackets, rails and associated support components. 
  • Assist with positioning, securing and mounting solar panels on prepared roof or ground-mounted structures. 
  • Work alongside appropriately qualified personnel where electrical connection or other licensed work is required
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
  • Maintain clean, tidy and safe work areas and follow all health and safety requirements

Skills and Experience 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant practical industry experience.
  • Experience in solar panel installation, construction, property maintenance, or a related trade.(preferred)
  • Good practical skills and ability to use a range of hand and power tools.
  • Experience working on residential and commercial sites.
  • Ability to work at heights and follow safe work practices.
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Commitment to health and safety.

 Requirements

    • Full NZ Driver's Licence.(preferred)
    • Working at Heights certification.(preferred)
    • Forklift Operator Certificate (preferred).
    • Site Safe Passport (preferred).
    • Ability to lead and participate in toolbox meetings.
    • Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing.
    • Own basic hand tools (hammer, screwdrivers, tape measure, etc.) preferred.
    • Own PPE, including steel-cap boots, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and safety glasses.
