Paniora Transport Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Transport Manager to oversee and manage the operations of its courier business in the Auckland region. The role involves managing the delivery fleet, coordinating logistics, ensuring timely and reliable service, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement in operational efficiency, safety, and compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily courier operations to ensure deliveries are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
- Plan delivery schedules and allocate routes to maximise operational efficiency and meet service requirements.
- Recruit, train, and oversee drivers and support staff while maintaining a productive and effective workplace.
- Monitor vehicle servicing and maintenance schedules to ensure the fleet remains roadworthy and meets applicable transport and safety requirements.
- Manage operational budgets, monitor fuel usage, and control expenditure to support business profitability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety obligations and courier industry regulations.
- Manage delivery delays, customer concerns, and operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Establish and monitor performance measures to evaluate delivery outcomes, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other relevant business stakeholders.
- Operate courier and logistics systems for route planning, real-time delivery tracking, and operational reporting.
- Compile operational and financial reports for the Director to support business planning and informed decision-making.
You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $35 to $40 per hour, subject to skills and requirements.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience or at least a relevant level 5 qualification.
- Willingness to work weekends when required to meet business operational needs.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks and maintaining records.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills, with the ability to effectively manage and support employees.
