Super Movers is an Auckland-based moving and relocation company providing professional furniture removal, packing, transportation and relocation services throughout New Zealand. We specialise in residential and commercial moving, including local and long-distance relocations.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Furniture Removal Truck Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive company trucks to transport household furniture, office equipment and other goods safely between locations.
  • Carry out residential, commercial and long-distance furniture removal services.
  • Load, unload and secure furniture, appliances and other items to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Assist with packing, wrapping, unpacking and arranging furniture at customers' premises.
  • Dismantle and reassemble furniture when required.
  • Plan efficient travel routes and complete pickups and deliveries on schedule.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and other transport documentation.
  • Follow New Zealand road transport regulations and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper care of company vehicles and moving equipment.

Skills and Requirements

  • A valid driver's licence suitable for the company vehicles.
  • 1 year's experience or Level 1 certificate
  • Ability to safely lift, carry and move heavy furniture.
  • Knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load-securing practices. Heavy lifting is involved
  • Good time management, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel between cities and work weekends when required.
  • Reliable, punctual and physically capable of performing moving duties.
  • Able to work on weekends or public holidays
  • A Minister of Justice check will be required
