K7 Enterprises Limited, trading as Jazz Haircut & Beauty Salon, is seeking a skilled Hairdresser to provide professional hairdressing services and attentive customer care.

Location: 411 Fraser Street, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty

Employment: Permannet, full-time| Vacancies: 2

Pay: NZ$27.00 to NZ$35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

Hours: 30 to 45 hours per week, with a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours

Roster: Rostered shifts Monday to Sunday between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm

Key duties

• Consult with clients about hairstyles and services suitable for their hair type, condition and preferences.

• Shampoo, condition, cut, trim and style hair using scissors, clippers and other hairdressing tools.

• Colour, tint, bleach and highlight hair, following product instructions and safe application procedures.

• Provide straightening, waving and conditioning treatments offered by the salon, and blow-dry and finish hairstyles.

• Assess hair and scalp conditions and recommend appropriate hair care products and treatments.

• Advise clients on styling and maintaining their hair between appointments.

• Clean and sanitise tools, equipment and workstations, and comply with salon hygiene and health and safety procedures.

• Assist with appointments, client records, payments and replenishment of salon supplies.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must hold a qualification at NZQCF Level 4 or higher, or an equivalent overseas qualification, OR have at least three years of relevant hairdressing experience. The qualification does not need to be in hairdressing. All applicants must demonstrate the practical hairdressing skills required for the role.

Applicants must be competent in the hairdressing services required for this role, communicate well with clients, work independently and in a team, handle tools and chemicals safely, and be available for the advertised roster.
