About the Role:
We are looking to hire 1 Plasterer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for applying decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement and similar materials to the interiors and exteriors of structures.

Employment type: Full-time Permanent role

Hours of Work:
A guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 60 hours per week depending on project requirements. Work may be scheduled Monday to Sunday, in accordance with applicable employment legislation.

Remuneration:
Pay Rate: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. Wages are paid on a monthly basis.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials, measurements and plastering requirements.
• Prepare surfaces for plastering and rendering by cleaning surfaces, removing damaged or loose plaster, and applying bonding agents where required.
• Mix plaster, cement, render and similar materials to the required consistency and apply coats to structures using trowels.
• Apply decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement, render and similar materials to the interiors and exteriors of structures.
• Level and smooth plaster and render coats to achieve a uniform thickness and high-quality finish.
• Plumb and straighten corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces using appropriate levels and measuring tools.
• Create decorative textures and finishes in plaster and render as required by project specifications.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs and renovations to existing plasterwork and cement surfaces, including repairing damaged or deteriorated areas.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in construction, OR a Level 4 relevant qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications.
• Ability to accurately measure, set out, plumb and level plastering and rendering work.
• Ability to safely use relevant hand and power tools.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain quality workmanship.
