Direct Kitchen Limited specialises in kitchen design, manufacturing and installation, as well as the fabrication of natural and engineered stone benchtops. We serve construction companies, developers, home builders and joinery businesses across Auckland and surrounding areas, with a focus on quality workmanship and reliable service. We are currently seeking 3 Stonemasons to join our Auckland team, carrying out stone fabrication, finishing and installation to meet project specifications and our quality standards.

Ideal candidate must have the following:

- At least 2 years relevant work experience, or a level 4 (or above) relevant qualification.
- Must be able to work on weekends, at least be able to work on Saturday.
- Long term and full commitments
- Time Management and excellent team works
- Handle tasks individual without supervision

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1.    Machine Operation:
Read architecture design and set up, program, and operate CNC routers, saws, and edge polishers for cutting, shaping, and profiling benchtops.
Perform daily machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues.

2.    Fabrication & Finishing:
Handle, lift, and maneuver stone slabs (natural & engineered) using overhead cranes/booms. Cut, laminate, polish, and hone benchtops to exact specifications.
Install sink cutouts, tap holes, and edge details with precision. Conduct quality checks at every stage of production.

3.    Workshop Safety:
Strictly adhere to Worksafe NZ regulations, especially silica dust control (RPE, LEV, wet processing). Follow protocols for safe slab handling and machinery operation.

4.    Team Collaboration:
Work with designers, project managers, and installers to meet deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized workshop

 

In Return We Will Offer:

Full time employment with 30 - 60 hours per week

Long term and stable employment in Auckland

Fair pay from $27 - $35 depending on skills and experience
