We are a company that is continuously developing our people, expanding our capability and supporting the aviation industry globally.

We are dedicated to living "Excellence at Altitude" in all we do. Our teams operate in line with our culture values of Humanity, Transparency, Capability and Reliability that create a strong foundation for success. The Role:

Our Blade Shop in Ardmore is growing, and we're looking for a Painter/Blade Technician to join the team. This is your opportunity to work hands-on with helicopter rotor blades and advanced aircraft composites — playing a critical role in keeping aircraft performing at their best. This isn't just painting and repairs. It's craftsmanship, precision and pride in what we do.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day brings something different. You'll be at the heart of our blade operations — assessing, repairing, painting, refinishing and balancing to the highest aviation standards.

Your day could include:

  • Preparing rotor blades and composite surfaces for refinishing – cleaning, sanding, masking, priming
  • Mixing and applying specialised coatings to manufacturer specifications and CAANZ standards
  • Performing touch-ups and minor repairs with absolute attention to detail
  • Assessing composite and metal construction helicopter blades for repair
  • Completing repairs in strict accordance with approved technical data
  • Refinishing rotor blades and conducting final balance
  • Contributing ideas to improve workflow and expand shop capability
  • Developing your skills under the guidance of our Blade & Composite Supervisor

You'll take pride in delivering compliant, on-time, on-budget work — because in aviation, quality isn't optional.

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who combines technical skill with pride in workmanship and a proactive safety mindset.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience in a painting environment (Aviation, Aerospace, Automotive or Marine)
  • Experience with fibreglass or metal rotor blade repairs and inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of pressure fixture and vacuum bagging repair methods
  • Or be an allied trade technician ready to transition into aviation
  • A strong safety and compliance focus
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication and teamwork
  • Physical fitness and a hands-on approach
  • A genuine commitment to quality engineering best practice
  • Most importantly, you'll be motivated, reliable, and proud of the work you produce.

What we can offer you:

  • Permanent full-time work, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Any opportunities for overtime paid at Time and Half
  • Competitive Salary
  • Long Service Leave
  • $500 Employee Benefits card (Extraordinary) from three months service for healthcare
  • Celebrations on Birthdays and Anniversaries
  • Free Parking
  • Holiday Home access via Marram Trust
  • Humanity Time – Volunteering time for charities
  • Ongoing professional development to extend your knowledge and skills. (Part 147 Training Organisation)
  • Work in a highly motivated team focused on "Excellence at Altitude"
  • A challenging and rewarding aviation career
