The Opportunity

We're keen to speak with experienced Joiners and Cabinetmakers in Christchurch who have a background in manufacturing and installing cabinetry, kitchenettes, wardrobes and other bespoke joinery. You'll be working with a reputable company that has longstanding relationships with several main contractors across Christchurch, delivering joinery for a range of predominantly commercial projects. This is an ongoing opportunity offering a mix of workshop-based manufacturing, working from drawings to produce quality joinery, and on-site installation.

What We're Looking For

You'll work between the manufacturing workshop and commercial project sites, producing and installing quality joinery to a high standard. We're looking for experienced tradespeople who can confidently read drawings, work independently, and take pride in their workmanship.

Ideally, you'll have experience with:

  • Manufacturing cabinetry, kitchenettes, wardrobes and other custom joinery from drawings and specifications
  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing joinery components in a workshop environment
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and measurements
  • Installing cabinetry and joinery on-site across predominantly commercial projects
  • Working accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
  • Working collaboratively with workshop staff, site teams and other trades to meet project deadlines
 
In addition to this experience, the below are advantageous:
  • Relevant trade qualifications or a recognised joinery/cabinetmaking background
  • Experience working on commercial fit-outs and installations
  • Site Safe and other relevant trade tickets
  • Your own hand and power tools
  • A driver's licence and reliable transport
 
You'll need proven experience in joinery or cabinetmaking, a strong work history and references that support your experience and standard of work.
