Truck Driver

We are Auckland base company and our trucks move in all areas of New Zealand including Auckland metro. We are seeking to employ class 4 and class 5 drivers to accommodate the demand of the logistics.

We are offering a full time minimum 30 hours per week role. You may have to work 12 hours shift for 5 days which would be 60 hours maximum per week.  Minimum pay rate is $28 / hour but we can offer up to $35/ hour depending on your experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Positioning vehicles safely and appropriately for loading and unloading.
2. Ensuring that vehicle and load weights comply with applicable legal requirements and weight restrictions.
3. Completing and maintaining delivery and pickup documentation.
4. Securing loads in accordance with New Zealand laws and safety requirements.
5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
6. Assisting with the training of new staff and monitoring their performance, where required.
7. Transporting company vehicles as required.
8. Refuelling vehicles and trailers and topping up AdBlue when required.
9. Washing and maintaining the cleanliness of trucks on designated days.
10. Reporting any vehicle breakdowns, faults or mechanical issues promptly to the Director.
11. Carrying out other reasonable driving and logistics-related duties as required by the business.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid New Zealand class 4 or class 5 license or overseas heavy vehicle/truck driving licence appropriate for the vehicles. On-site training will be provided where required.
