HOMEX BUILDING PRODUCTS LIMITED is an Auckland-based company specialising in the fabrication and manufacturing of architectural aluminium and metal building products. We are looking for skilled and reliable Metal Fabricators to join our workshop team.  The roles are permanent with a minimum 30 hours per week. 

About the Role

You'll be responsible for fabricating metal products to a high standard in our workshop, with occasional support on installation sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and shop drawings.

  • Measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling and assembling metal components accurately.

  • Performing MIG and TIG welding.

  • Operating workshop machinery such as saws, drills, punches, benders and grinders.

  • Grinding and finishing welds to prepare products for coating.

  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.

  • Assisting with on-site installations when required.

  • Keeping the workshop tidy and following all health and safety procedures.

About You

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in metal fabrication or NZQF Level 4 qualification in Metal Fabrication, Engineering Fabrication or a related field is an advantage.

  • Confident with MIG and TIG welding.

  • Able to read technical drawings and work with precision.

  • A full driver's licence is preferred.

  • Site Safe certification is an advantage.

  • Physically fit, reliable and a good team player.
