Music Teacher(Vocal)

About the Position

Cyan Blue is a private art training studio based in Auckland, seeking a qualified and experienced Music Teacher (Vocal) to provide vocal music education to students of different ages and abilities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering structured vocal lessons, developing students' musical skills and preparing them for examinations and performances.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week
Pay Rate: $35.00–$40.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

-Plan and deliver individual and group vocal music lessons.

-Teach singing techniques, vocal performance skills and music theory.

-Prepare appropriate teaching materials, exercises and learning programmes.

-Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.

-Prepare students for music examinations, auditions and performances.

-Maintain teaching records and communicate with students and parents regarding learning progress.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have either:

A Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (Vocal Music), Music Education, Vocal Performance or a closely related field; OR

At least five years of relevant professional experience in vocal music teaching or vocal coaching.

Additional Requirements

-Sound knowledge of vocal techniques, music theory and vocal performance.

-Ability to teach students of different ages and skill levels.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.

-Strong organisational skills and a responsible, patient approach to teaching.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a teaching team.
