Carpenter

DESHENG PRECISION CONSTRUCTION LIMITED is looking for five Carpenters to join us. This is a full-time, permanent role with 30 working hours per week from Monday to Friday. The working location is Auckland, New Zealand. We offer an hourly rate of $28- $35.00.

Some role responsibilities would include:

• Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and construction requirements.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials, including cutting and fitting timber joints, using hand tools and power tools.
• Construct, erect and install timber wall frames, floor frames, roof frames and other structural components.
• Install floor joists, sub-flooring, floorboards, roof trusses, beams and other timber framing components in accordance with building plans.
• Install fascia boards, exterior timber cladding, doors, door frames, windows, skirting boards, architraves and other timber fixtures and fittings.
• Construct and install formwork for concrete foundations, slabs and other concrete structures where required.
• Check the alignment, level, dimensions and quality of completed carpentry work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Select and prepare timber, building materials, tools and equipment, and prepare layouts for carpentry work.
• Follow building regulations, site safety procedures and workplace health and safety requirements when carrying out carpentry work.

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant level 4 or higher qualification OR
• At least two years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit, reliable and attentive to detail.
