Driver Operator

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role that involves more than just driving. You will operate specialist vehicles and equipment while supporting a range of services, including hydro excavation, vacuum loading, and high-pressure pipeline cleaning.

You will work alongside a team of experienced operators to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality services to our customers.

Location

You will be required to work in Auckland, Northland, Bay of Plenty, Christchurch, Waikato, Taranaki, Wellington and Otago regions

Hours of Work

Our normal hours of operation are between 6am and 10pm, 7 days per week. This role is a 40 hours per week position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating specialist vehicles and equipment, including hydro excavation units, vacuum trucks, and pipe jetting equipment.
  • Carrying out physical, hands-on work on-site as part of daily operations.
  • Working in wastewater, stormwater, and contaminated waste environments.
  • Following health and safety procedures to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to deliver quality services to our customers.

What We’re Looking For

You will have:

  • A Class 2 driver licence and at least two years of Class 2 driving experience.
  • Experience in hydro excavation, vacuum truck operations, or a related industry.
  • A strong work ethic and a reliable, can-do attitude.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual work.

Pay conditions

Min $29 per hour to a maximum of $32 per hour depending on skills and experience
