NZ Freights Limited is seeking two reliable and motivated Class 4 Truck Drivers to join our team based in Auckland. You will deliver goods on local and intercity routes. Some deliveries may require overnight driving, including long-haul trucking.

  • Position: Class 4 Truck Driver
  • Hourly Rate: $27–$35
  • Minimum Hours: 30 per week
  • Location: Auckland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Assist with loading, arranging goods for ease of delivery and securing them safely to avoid damage.
  • Verify loading documents.
  • Arrange and carry out the unloading of goods and obtain confirmation of delivery.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Comply with driving rules and regulations, including vehicle size and weight limits, route designations, parking, and break periods, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Confidently manoeuvre the truck into loading or unloading positions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.
  • Follow health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold a Class 4 licence.
  • Hold a Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement, or be able to obtain it quickly.
  • Hold an F endorsement, or be able to obtain it quickly.
  • Be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Have great communication skills.
  • Hold a clean driver licence.
  • Be confident using smart devices and technology embedded in the work.
  • Be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check if required. Checks are considered case by case; applicants must have no driving-related or violent crime.
  • Have a minimum of one year’s experience on level 2 qualification.
