Ready to take the next step in your project career?
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and confident Project Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is more than a project administration role. You’ll be actively involved in the delivery of client projects, working alongside project managers, consultants and clients to keep projects organised, on track and moving forward. You’ll coordinate project activities, keep plans and actions up to date, manage risks and dependencies, and take ownership of defined workstreams and smaller projects as your experience grows.
What’s on offer:
• Competitive salary + benefits
• Hybrid working options
• A fast-growing, exciting consultancy with a supportive team
• Opportunity to work with a variety of clients, projects and technologies
• Full time
About Us:
We’re a growing consultancy specialising in payroll, workforce management, and HCM solutions. Our team brings deep industry expertise and hands-on experience supporting some of the largest employers and software vendors across New Zealand and Australia. We work with organisations nationwide to simplify payroll, stay compliant, improve workforce processes, and turn people data into meaningful business insights. Passionate about what we do and focused on delivering real results, we pride ourselves on providing practical, people-focused solutions that make a genuine difference.
About the role:
You’ll work across multiple client projects and help keep delivery running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating project activities, priorities, resources and schedules
• Working alongside project managers throughout the project lifecycle
• Taking ownership of defined project workstreams and smaller projects
• Coordinating project meetings, agendas, actions and follow-ups
• Maintaining project plans, schedules, RAID logs and key project documentation
• Monitoring milestones, deliverables and actions and proactively following up where things are falling behind
• Supporting project reporting, status updates, resource planning, forecasting and billing information
• Keeping clients, consultants and project stakeholders informed and connected
• Identifying risks, issues and dependencies early and escalating where required
• Coordinating third-party vendors where required
• Looking for opportunities to improve project processes, tools and the overall client experience.
About you
You’re someone who likes to keep things moving. You’re organised and detail-focused, but you can also see the bigger picture and understand what needs to happen next.
You’re comfortable following people up, asking questions and taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do. You communicate confidently with clients and colleagues and can balance multiple projects and changing priorities without losing sight of the details.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
• 2+ years’ experience in project coordination, PMO, project administration or a similar project delivery role
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities
• Experience managing project meetings, actions, schedules and documentation
• Some experience owning project deliverables, workstreams or smaller projects
• A good understanding of project management principles and the project lifecycle
• Exposure to Agile, Hybrid and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Strong organisational, planning and communication skills
• Confidence working directly with clients and internal stakeholders
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
• Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, MS Project, PSA/PPM platforms or similar tools
• Project management training or certification such as PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM or Agile would be advantageous.
What you will receive:
• Work with like-minded and supportive people
• Hybrid working arrangements
• Competitive salary
• Great employee benefits
• Beautiful office space in central Howick with free parking
• Birthday Leave
• Opportunity to learn and grow in the role.
