Family owens business looking for Experienced and qualified 2x Class 5 Truck Drivers in Hawke's Bay and 2x Class 5 drivers in Rotorua  to work in our busy Trucking company. Work will usually be driving around the Hawke's Bay and Bay OF Plentybut can also be outside of this region and around the North and South Island. You will also need to be fit as there will be a lot of lifting involved in this job. As a company we do not tolerate alcohol consumption either whilst driving or prior to driving or any other substance or medication which could affect your driving capabilities and your ability to make rational decisions on the road.

You will be able to show maturity and be able to communicate with a wide variety of people. Must have excellent loading understanding good interpersonal skills and able to work unsupervised. 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Loading transporting and delivering items in a safe and timely manner.
  • Loading and unloading items from vehicles
  • Handling customer enquiries answering questions and escalating any complaints from clients. 
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
  • Preparing reports log books and other documents relating to driving
  • Keeping the vehicles clean and tidy
  • Atleast 6 Months of work experience or a relevant qualification 
  • You must be physically fit have a keen eye for detail and a 'Can Do Attitude'. 
  • You must be reliable and be able to communicate well with other staff and customers.

Applicants should have good references and be a team player.  Must have a class 5 license, Dangerous Good Endorsement and Forklift License or have the willingness and ability to obtain one. 

The applicant must be happy with staying away from home for up to 3 days at a time.we can't promise to get you home every weekend.(Depends on work schedules).

The prospective employee  required to provide a pre-employment drug test and clean police clearance certificate prior to offer of employment being provided. The prospective employees  Should be NON-SMOKERS 

For these roles we are looking at a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. The minimum payrate for this role is $28.00 and the maximum payrate we are looking at is $34.00
