We are looking for experienced Raft Guide join our friendly and supportive team.

The role is based in Napier.

The role requires at least 6 months experience on the similar role. 

NZ Register or recreation professional raft guide III certification is preferred. 

This is a fix-term position, for the season November 2026 to March/April 2027, with a competitive hourly rate at $29.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • safely navigate rafts down a river, manage passegers, and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience.
  • providing safety briefings, teaching paddling techniques, assessing and managing risks, and being prepared for potential emergencies. 
  • loading/unloading gear, maintaining equipment, and assisting with other river-related tasks. 

A successful candidate will: 

  • No criminal history.
  • Be healthy and be able to pass Alcohol or Drug tests. 
  • Demonstrated that to know and understand the relevant company procedures.
  • Overall responsible for the safety of every client on trip.
  • Have a positive attitude to safety and quality.
