The role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support construction estimating, cost planning and project cost control.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working Location: Unit 6, 12 Princess Street, Addington, Christchurch

Key responsibilities

· Measure quantities from drawings and specifications and prepare bills of quantities and cost estimates.

· Prepare and review tender pricing and compare contractor and subcontractor quotations.

· Monitor project costs, assess variations and maintain accurate cost records.

· Review progress payment claims and assist with payment valuations.

· Prepare final accounts and liaise with clients, contractors and project teams on cost matters.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

· A relevant qualification and/or practical experience in quantity surveying, construction estimating or construction cost management.

· Ability to interpret drawings, measure quantities and prepare accurate estimates and reports.

· Good numerical, organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
