We are seeking an experienced Chinese Massage Therapist to join our team in Auckland. We are looking for someone who provides safe, effective massage treatments and attentive client care.

Position Details

·       Hours: 30–45 hours per week

·       Pay: NZD $28–$34 per hour before tax, depending on skills and experience

·       Schedule: Rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday, including weekends

Key Responsibilities

1.     Consult clients about their health history, physical condition and massage needs, identifying any contraindications to treatment.

2.     Plan appropriate massage sessions and explain the proposed treatment to obtain the client’s informed consent.

3.     Provide Chinese massage, including Tui Na, to relieve muscle tension and support physical recovery.

4.     Use massage techniques on muscles and other soft tissues to promote relaxation, improve circulation and ease muscular discomfort.

5.     Adjust techniques and pressure to suit each client’s needs, comfort and response.

6.     Provide advice on stretching, relaxation and aftercare within your scope of practice.

7.     Keep accurate consultation and treatment records while protecting client privacy and confidentiality.

8.     Maintain clean treatment rooms, equipment and linen, and follow workplace hygiene and safety procedures.

Requirements

·       At least two years of relevant work experience providing therapy treatments.

·       Practical skills in Chinese massage

·       Sound knowledge of massage therapy, safe massage techniques and contraindications relevant to the role.

·       Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and respectful approach to clients.

·       Attention to details and a commitment to consistent standards of client care.

·       Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team.

·       Reliability, a strong work ethic and availability for rostered shifts, including weekends.
