We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team based in Christchurch. The successful applicant will carry out a range of carpentry and building-related tasks on the projects.
Heavy lifting could be a part of the job so the applicants must be physically fit to be recruited for this role.


Applicants must be flexible with working hours and should be able to work over weekends.
You must have a minimum of 1 year hands on carpentry experience working in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
 Must be able to handle materials safely.
 Participate in all safety procedures.
 Must be able to study drawings and specifications to determine the materials required,
dimensions and installation procedures.
 Must be able to order and select timber and materials and prepare layouts.
 Must be able to cut materials, assemble them and nail cut and shaped parts.
 Must be able to erect framework and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and
verify the trueness of structures.
 Must be able to nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door frames and window frames.
 Must be able to assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready for
installation.
 Must be able to cut wood joints.
 May construct concrete formwork and repair existing fittings if necessary.
