We're looking for an experienced Leading Hand Steel Fixer to join a major civil construction project in Picton, commencing January 2027.This is a great opportunity to secure long-term work on a significant project, leading a small crew and working alongside an established civil construction team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

• Lead and coordinate a crew of three or more Steel Fixers

• Read and interpret construction plans and drawings

• Cut, bend, shear, place and tie reinforcing steel and mesh

• Ensure work is completed safely and to specification

• Support the delivery of structural and civil construction works

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Ideally 3+ years' experience in a similar role

• Proven experience leading a small crew

• Commercial and/or civil construction experience

• Confident reading and working from plans

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Site Safe required – assistance can be providedWHAT'S ON OFFER

• $35–$38 per hour, depending on experience

• Long-term work on a 12-month project

• January 2027 start
