Unity Survey Limited is a growing surveying consultancy with offices in Auckland and Christchurch. We are looking for a Surveying Technician to support our Auckland survey team.

Location of Work: Auckland

Number of Vacancies: 1

Type of employment: Permanent, full time, 30-40 hours per week

Days required: Monday to Friday

Pay: NZ$28–$40 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills and experience

Your duties will include:

·      Collect and record field data using GNSS, total stations and other survey equipment

·      Carry out topographic, setout and as-built fieldwork to survey plans and instructions

·      Reduce and adjust survey data, perform calculations and check measurement accuracy

·      Prepare and revise survey plans and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or 12d Model

·      Assist with boundary fieldwork and CSD preparation under a licensed cadastral surveyor’s direction

·      Maintain field notes, spatial databases and survey records, and follow site safety procedures

·      Assist Surveyors with survey planning, fieldwork organisation and selection of methods

·      Assist Surveyors in interpreting results, preparing reports and resolving technical queries with clients, councils and LINZ

 

Successful applicants will have:

·      A relevant Diploma or higher qualification in surveying, surveying and mapping engineering; OR at least 3 years of relevant surveying work experience

·      Ability to use survey equipment and software, interpret plans and check calculations

·      Strong accuracy, communication and time management skills

·      Ability to follow survey instructions, work collaboratively and maintain quality standards
