We are looking for qualified Welder/ Fabricators to join a leading Christchurch heavy transport workshop based in Hornby.
You'll be part of a busy workshop carrying out repairs, fabrication and general maintenance work to ensure commercial fleets keep moving throughout the South Island.
They are a friendly team who work together to get the job done to a high standard.
Daily duties will include completing welding and fabrication to a high standard.
Normal working hours are 45 to 50 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Starting payrate will be $35-$45 per hour depending on your experience and qualifications.

What you'll be doing:
- Working as part of highly skilled friendly team
- Completing heavy transport repairs and maintenance
- Welding and fabrication
- Truck and trailer modifications
- Structural repairs
- Fabricating components and replacement parts
- Working on a wide range of heavy transport vehicles and equipment
- $35 - $45 depending on experience
- Temp to perm opportunity
- Busy workshop with consistent workflow

- Ideally, you’ll be a Trade qualified (Level 4) Engineer, Fabricator or Fitter
- You will have a couple of year experience in a similar role as a minimum
- Experience in heavy transport, truck or trailer repairs preferred
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Full Class 1 licence as a minimum
- Class 4/5 licence advantageous
- Takes pride in quality workmanship
